JUNGLE TREKKING TAMAN NEGARA
WELCOME TO……the oldest rainforest in the world.
Taman Negara is the oldest national park in Malaysia and the oldest rainforest in the world, estimated to be more than 130 million years old. The park, which was originally known as King George V National Park, encompasses 4343 square kilometres of pristine wilderness divided between three states: Kelantan, Pahang and Terengganu.
At least 15,000 species of plants and 185,000 species of fauna have been recorded in Taman Negara. The forest's stunning landscape is home to the Batek people—the most culturally conservative of Malaysia's indigenous tribes.
The main entry point to Taman Negara is on the park's southern border at Kuala Tahan, which has become one of the country's most visited places. Here, development has encroached on most of the surrounding jungle and tourism has become increasingly commercialised. However, for those looking for a more genuine experience in nature and adventure, the park's northern portion, entered at Kuala Koh, remains untouched by commercial tourism.
The rainforest at Kuala Koh is still home to an abundance of wildlife, and chances of sighting the park's wild animals are much higher than other access points. For the adventurer, it provides quick access to salt-lick hides, riverboat trips, bamboo rafting, tubing, remote trekking, and a 400-metre canopy walkway strung at 40 metres above the forest floor.

Why Team Building in Taman Negara?
Taman Negara is well known worldwide as one of the oldest rainforest still exist on planet Earth. The area is remote, however easily accessible by boat and by land within few hours drive from Kuala Lumpur and Kuantan. This remoteness gives few advantages to any organizations and companies in organizing team building exercise as listed below.
1. Isolate the participants from unnecessary distractions (no shopping and entertainment outlets in Taman Negara);
2. Focus on working as a team and create togetherness in an area alien to the participants (no visiting by family members and friends);
3. Clean environment and unpolluted natural area; and
4. A visit to Taman Negara is a privilege due to the fact that not everyone has this opportunity in his or her lifetime. Therefore, having team building in Taman Negara is an additional privilege and boost up subordinates morale and self-esteem.
